As a biomonitoring research assistant with the Charles River Watershed Association, I sampled and recorded the frequency of marine organisms along a stretch of the Charles River. I then used the data on specific organism frequencies to determine the relative water quality of the sampled portion of the river.

I worked with the UMass Amherst Department of Environmental Conservation to measure tree crown lengths over time in response to environmental stressors such as ice and snow accretion as well as wind turbulence.
