Successfully managed McCurdy & Candler's Default Litigation Department for over 8 years. McCurdy & Candler's Default Litigation Department grew during my leadership from 1 attorney and paralegal to 5 attorneys, 3 paralegals, and several hundred active litigation files during any one time. Gained proficiency in all aspects of default litigation practice, real estate law, general litigation, process management and personnel management. Litigated thousands of lawsuits in Georgia and Tennessee state and federal courts to successful resolution, including: collection/garnishment/levy matters, foreclosure confirmation and deficiency actions, landlord/tenant disputes, boundary line disputes, declaratory judgment/title curative/equitable actions, Quiet Title litigation, emergency injunction hearings, wrongful foreclosure defense, Georgia Fair Lending Act, TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, FCRA, and SCRA claims. Regularly trained the Firm's employees on federal and state law compliance; helped create, implement and maintain the Firm's federal and state law compliance procedures; and assisted in the Firm's audit compliance. Represented homeowners' associations in collections, covenant enforcement, and governmental interactions.

Litigated complex cases in Georgia state and federal courts, including patent infringement, trade secret, trade dress, wrongful death, personal injury and other matters. Among other high-profile cases, I was especially privileged during my time at Larry Newlin's firm to help represent a family who tragically lost a mother and daughter in the 1996 ValuJet airline crash in the Florida Everglades.
