I grew into the role of Team Lead and was eventually promoted into the role of Tech Lead. Primarily worked on small (2-3 devs) agile teams on existing web-based radiology education platform built using Node.js and Java/Tomcat/Jersey/PostgreSQL restful backend. I was involved as tech lead for a team of developers supporting 5 online customer-facing products (STATdx, ExpertPath, RADPrimer, ImmunoQuery, PATHPrimer) and other internal supporting products.Recognized for thorough code reviews, testable designs, and stable implementations. Worked to ensure the solutions being developed by the team would meet the needs of external and internal users. Advocated for stability of the products and reducing pain points experienced by users, testers, developers, and others.

Primarily worked as a key member of an expanding team of developers to define, develop, support, and maintain in house java applications that supported a high throughput genetic testing based LIMS and DNA fingerprinting database. Participated in every aspect of the development life cycle from inception to delivery. Filled various roles on multiple projects as opportunities arose and as needs were recognized; including technical lead, project manager, configuration/source manager, build master, lead tester, requirements BA. Acted as programmer lead on numerous projects and was the primary developer responsible for maintaining Myriad’s entire felon identity genomics system.

Acted as lab tech and network/computer admin for satellite campus. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading all computer services provided for 25 lab machines and 10 staff machines. Interacted with and answered questions for staff and students daily.
