Frank qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982. Having pioneered Tax Investigation Fee Insurance Protection in the UK Frank set up Professional Fee Protection, PFP, in 1985 and has more experience of working in Tax Investigation Fee Insurance Protection than any other person in the UK. Frank has used this to his advantage at Professional Fee Protection to develop a highly flexible range of products to suit every type of practice and every type of business and individual in the UK. Under his guidance, Professional Fee Protection Ltd, PFP, have set up Fee Protection schemes for over 4,000 practices and over 180,000 individuals, businesses and organisations over the last 30 years. Whilst many providers have come and gone over the years Frank and Professional Fee Protection has remained committed to UK accountants for over 30 years. Many believe that one of the underlining strengths of PFP as an organisation is that they are “a company run by accountants for accountants”. Before PFP Frank was a senior Manager at Hambro Legal Protection Ltd (HLP), part of the Hambros Bank. He was recruited in 1983 to develop and launch tax investigations insurance protection which at the time was a revolutionary new product. Having developed tax investigation insurance protection he left HLP to set up PFP in 1985.Prior to HLP Frank worked in commerce for Petrofina, the international energy group, and Trafalgar House Plc , the large and then successful conglomerate which included Cunard, Ritz Hotel and Cementation Construction, to name a few of the 250 companies in the Group. Petrofina is now part of the Total Energy Group. Frank specialized in high level tax in both these appointments, reporting directly to board members. Previously Frank worked for a number of firms in the accountancy profession, starting as an Audit Junior, progressing to Audit Manager and then Tax Manager. Frank’s last post in the profession was with Ball Baker Leake, which he believes was taken over by PKF..
