I am a Partner at Environmental Resources Management (ERM), the largest sustainability consultancy and the leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting services. I'm part of ERM’s Strategic Communications & Stakeholder Engagement team. I lead client work on stakeholder engagement, external affairs, and community outreach for the siting and permitting of capital projects.My experience includes government affairs, public engagement, legislative and regulatory advocacy, social risk mitigation, and environmental justice issues for companies in highly regulated industries. In addition to extensive experience with projects in the United States, I also have experience managing global teams and working on external affairs and stakeholder programs in other countries. I've worked for diverse industries, including renewable energy, power transmission, data centers, technology and cloud-based services, oil and gas, carbon capture and sequestration, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction projects, mining, and infrastructure development.The external affairs, stakeholder engagement, and community relations programs I lead also include projects involving the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and many other state and local environmental regulations around the United States.Previously, I served as a policy advisor to over 20 gubernatorial campaigns, including Governor Bill Richardson, Governor Janet Napolitano, Governor Kathleen Sebelius, and former Attorney General Janet Reno’s campaign for governor. I was also part of the communications team for former Senator Bill Bradley’s presidential campaign. In addition, I advised over 30 top-tier house races while working at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.I also worked at the White House Office of Management and Budget and as a Communications Manager for the Service Employees International Union, the country’s largest union. And I produced television, radio, and direct mail ads while working at some of the country’s leading political consulting firms.I earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Albany in New York and a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Politics from Drexel University in Pennsylvania. I also attended the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program “Dealing with an Angry Public” and the Harvard Business School’s “Leading Professional Services Firms” program.
