Education is the cornerstone of a successful, inclusive, society, and I am proud to be engaged in the profession of teaching and learning. I have worked as a classroom teacher, coach, advisor, building level administrator, and superintendent. I am committed to the success of all students, and aware of the needs of students who come from diverse backgrounds. Just as these student require unique supports to address their needs, their teachers require specialized supports as well, and I have been fortunate to work in environments where I have been able to identify and provide many of those supports.I understand the principals of effectively managing change in an organization, and I have led initiatives at the school and district level to implement changes that improved the services provided to students, and the work environment for their teachers.I believe in the power of education, the right of all children to access a quality education experience, and the ability teachers and administrators have to influence the future of a child, their family, and their community.
