Started out as a Senior developer, upon arrival I noticed some quality-of-life improvements could be made regarding the way the code was being versioned and the way it was being deployed.• I improved the code versioning environment by using GitLab’s platform positively improving the development process.• Established DevOps policies, reducing the number of errors during the deployment to production and speed up the time that took to do it from 2-3 hours to minutes instead.• Designed and developed a replacement API for Google's Geolocation services using OpenStreetMap’s data reducing the amount paid in Google services by 40%.• Designed and developed the central RESTful API used for the communication between the internal software and the commercial Apps developed by the iOS/Android Teams allowing them to fetch data in a more secure and reliable way.• Redesigned the old Invoice processing gateway, from taking 2 full days to process 100k invoices to less than 30 minutes by decoupling different process to a microservice architecture with an orchestrator to handle the jobs.
