To provide focus, I was responsible for converting legacy applications written as classic VB.NET ASP with direct SQL calls to C#.NET 6, MVC .NET, Entity Framework leveraging Angular 1 w/gentle migration to Angular 2. • For areas of client focus, architected new approach consistent with clients vision, provided development plan and resource planning as well as oversight for local development team resulting in highly accurate delivery schedule, near zero defects and role model for existing teams• Architected and implemented new approach for processing version data from external entities resulting in dramatically simplified development effort, reduced complexity and increased performance (99.5% performance improvement, critical for processing the hundred of Terabytes of files)• Developed a host of tools to assist developers and QA in code generation, automated testing (including at CI build layer) and automated/manual test suited for QA and Developers to use. Most tools were Windows Services, Command-Line, WinForms or add-ins for Visual Studio. This allowed the client to test 100% of available data through the application for applicable / definable scenarios. The result is saving many hundreds of development and QA hours for the 60+ team members.

    This contract was to assist Audatex with the corporate merger and office consolidation effort from their satellite development offices to a single dev center in Utah. The contract was to provide the business with a consultant team capable of addressing critical issues and maintain business and technical knowledge while the new teams were being built out in Utah. The legacy technologies ranged from ASP to VB 6.0 COM components hosted in COM+ to C/C++ support DLLs, C# WinForms, MVC, Angular, Javascript, Typescript and numerous other client / server side technologies and approaches. Additionally the engagement was to rewrite key legacy sub-systems that had become too fragile to maintain. The new sub-system components were constructed to be Micro-Service friendly with tolerance and performance driving factors. The technologies and services ranged from C#, MVC, Angular, Typescript, Javascript, JQuery, RabbitMQ and numerous other server/client side plug-ins and services. Additionally the contract included identifying and fixing the numerous and significant performance issues across the products. This included identifying and fixing improper configuration of Oracle drivers (reduced query times from minutes to seconds or less) as well as providing surgical fixes to ASP pages, implementing Async AJAX requests to a new WebAPI 2.0 Service Tier making optimized Oracle package calls as well as Creation of new Oracle Packages cutting round trip time from minutes to sub-second. Finally the engagement was to provide enhancements to their CM Practices, including versioning, build and deploy mechanics and tools as well as traceability from request to code.

An additional effort was to rewrite a client and server side web app written primarily in Javascript to control multiple TV browsers and panels via one or more tablets or laptops for displaying 4K videos across the selected TV’s and devices.
