I have helped take a local company and worked to strengthen its brand, showcase its opportunity, and bring it to the forefront in the industry. By studying its demographics and presence in the state, I have been able to take a strong brand—and make it the leading resort. Also, with TV, radio, and print media—I have been able to build up a reputation and honest friendship with my colleagues. Tanque Verde Ranch is just another of my hospitality companies that have risen in only a short time to become of the Top 10 Family Vacations by Travel Channel. Both of these properties this year rose to the Top 5 Resorts by Conde Nast Traveler in their respective regions.My candor on leadership is different from many but drives results. As the chairperson of the 2014 Governors Fishing Opener we held the largest Opener ever, but we also drove 2,352 media placements, over 130 million media impressions worth around $2.7 million in publicity value. I have been working in the marketing field all my life and started when Mac came out with first design software while in college. I manage from the inside out from having to learn systems firsthand from building BBC sites in the 90s to SEO and PPC recently. I take search engine optimization and social media as one of my great successes, rising our current website from 150K in my first year to over a million unique visitors currently. Video production, radio, and public relations are my forte—but not my only skills. I take my work as a passion, and it follows through each program and campaign I manage. This, of course, is not limited to keeping tight within the proposed budget, working with monthly P&Ls, monitoring ADR and EBITDA, and consistent monitoring of strong contracts for the right dollar depending on revenue. I am also a professional speaker on all things marketing, including SEO, web design, marketing principles, messaging, and social media.
