He is an Atlanta native and has managed the construction of many recognized developments in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. He serves as President of Frank Spears & Associates. Through Frank Spears & Associates , Frank manages construction consulting assignments throughout the metro Atlanta area.Frank most recently was former Vice President of Construction for the Atlanta area for The Trillist Companies.He is the past president of Balfour Beatty Construction’s Georgia Division. As leader of this Division, he primarily focused on the markets critical to the success of the Georgia Division and the leadership required for each. Spears was also the past president of SG Contracting, Inc., in Atlanta, GA. He led this small commercial builder from May 2004 to February 2010. The firm focused primarily on the healthcare and education markets in addition to the financial, retail, and professional office markets. Prior to joining SG Contracting, Frank was Managing Director and Executive Vice President of the Beck Group in Atlanta, GA. His responsibilities for this major commercial builder included all Atlanta district office operations from business development through construction. He was with the Beck Group for 30 years.Frank holds BCE and MSCE degrees in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a former Board Member of the Georgia Tech Foundation and past Board Member and President of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. Spears is a past President and Member of the Board of Trustees for the Associated General Contractors of America – Georgia Branch. He is a past Executive Committee Member of the Buckhead Coalition. Frank is a volunteer for the Woodruff Arts Center serving on it's Corporate Cabinet in 2020 and 2021. He and wife, Allison, are members of Northside United Methodist Church.
