This council assembles twice a year and supervises the board of Amnesty International Netherlands. Chairing includes presiding at the council meetings, as well as facilitating preparatory and other meetings in view of further strengthening the Amnesty-organization.

Music in the City is an initiative in which youngsters from less advantaged neighbourhoods in cities make music together. Goals:• fun and inspiration, • to connect across the world, and • as an entrance to improve the physical environment in their neighbourhoods.I took the initiative a some years before. Through a live video and audio connection between Cape Town, Utrecht and Jakarta.

Theatre production with disadvantaged youth in South African township (Mbekweni, Western Cape).Production of 15 youngsters (13-22 years old), about their lives, constraints and dreams. Title: 'Vuka Uzenzele!' = Xhosa-language for 'Stand up and do it yourself!'. Developed production starting from scratch, improvising and building upon the talents and energy of the youngsters. 4 performances, 1000 spectators and making connections between the local white and black communities.
