I have been working for 25 years as a teacher trainer both in the Netherlands and Namibia. As a member of the EDUCOM-committee I was advisor on a new curriculum for the teacher training college involving a competency based curriculum. For 5 years I have been working as coordinator of the propaedeutic phase. During my stay in Namibia I was teaching General Science and Maths to student teachers for the level of Lower Primary Education, Upper Primary Education and Junior Secondary Education. I have been working as a member of the Selection & Recruitment Committee of Ongwediva College of Education, involving development of selection tools (Tests) and interviewing candidates for the limited number of positions for students.My employment record includes also working as teacher Biology, Combined Science and Integrated Science in Maun, Botswana, totalling my teaching experience abroad to 6 years.I'm an adapt at usage of computers, both on the Apple-Mac and on the Windows platform. I'm skilled in a wide variety of applications, including: MS Office, Filemaker Pro, iLife suite, etc.. I acted as a key user for the implementation of the Blackboard environment amongst the lecturers and was member of a committee involved in encouraging the use of ICT in educational innovation. In Namibia activities were the set-up of a computer room for colleagues and students, the training of fellow workers in the use of Filemaker Pro for administrative purposes and the basic maintenance of an Apple-MacIntosh network.Specialties: Working with Digital Learning environments, e.g. BlackBoard, Netschool, a.o.
