Future interest is a material or device level research associate position in industry or academia. Recently developed demo simulations of uni-axial straining of a single layer graphene & a carbon nanotube showing plausible mechanical and electronic properties. Willing to relocate. Uniaxial straining a single layer graphene has been theorized to be a simpler alternative to MATBG. Digitally patterned mechanical meta-materials might function as a more accessible testing substrate.Following path-crossing with Santa Fe School of Complexity, my choice of a diverse career path has allowed me to focus on understanding the ultimate question in Complexity Science from an independent and unique angle. As a result, I hold that industrial engineering research is just as important as theoretical research in academia, and social sciences could be put on equal footings as natural sciences given future paradigm shifts in the popular understanding of the progressing concepts such as "scientific methods", "emergence levels of complexity with built-in singularities", etc.

Senior Research ScientistPcitc-Sinopec Jun 2014 - Jun 2020Beijing, ChinaOne of three project leaders of SINOPEC's Additive Manufacturing Materials Research Project with multiple business units participating. The total funding for my team is about ¥5 million for 5 years. Led two projects, 1) polyolefin materials for 3D printing; 2) extruder screw sleeves restoration using laser cladding. We achieved piloting products in both projects which were certified by the review committee. Projects proposed: touch-display applications for colorless polyimide(PI) and PET films coating with silver nano-wires; possible high temperature binder materials for 3D printing of graphite mold for PDC drill bits; autonomous LDAR sensor web in a piloting petrochemical plant using the CMOS ready CNT-based VOC sensor technology from a Boston based startup; RFID antenna printing on PI films with a 900MHz chip technology from a Wuxi based startup; Led multi-company negotiations to form an alliance to research on laser printing of ceramic with epoxy resin. Reference letter from CEO is available upon request.

Visiting ScholarInstitute For History Of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy Of Sciences Jul 2005 - Jun 2014BeijingCollaborated on history of physics related projects, e.g. International Year of Physics Exhibit - Celebrating the Anniversary of Einstein's Miraculous Year of 1905. Participated a Tsinghua startup developing location-based-service portal in supporting environmental NGOs and the public for crowd sourcing and citizen participation of environmental protection. Worked as a sci-tech director for DDA, a venture capital consulting firm. Independent research on economics and sociology and discussions with known scholars. Presented a complexity theory of ecosystems at an invited talk titled "From quantification of color, to behavioral finance, and further to international governance of ecosystems protection - a science of complex systems starting from Dilthey and on-wards" organized by a NGO, with Prof. Li-Li Song of Tsinghua Univ. as the commentator. Passed a job interview for a faculty position at the school of Economics and Management of Nanjing Forestry University presided by then school dean Dr. Zuo-Min Wen; Near-term tasks of this associate professor position were to teach and form a group to conduct research on modeling forestry related option/future financial products; But this offer was blocked by university HR 6 month later quoting a recent state-level requirement on doctoral diploma.
