Frances Tirado is a bilingual creative writer and director that approaches all work with curiosity and attention to detail. She dances often. In 2019, she was chosen to be a part of the BANFF Centre's Collective Composition Lab under the direction of Emily Molnar, and performed improvised dance and poetry at a summit on Climate Change and Green Energy Solutions. In 2020, she worked in Covid relief and community development with ViequesLove in Vieques, Puerto Rico. The majority of her work was in copywriting, translation, and content creation for informational campaigns, but she also assisted in the urgent day-to-day tasks required of an organization involved in disaster response and recovery on a small island.In 2021, she worked in humanitarian support in Texas responding to the border crisis, using the translation and problem solving skills she acquired working on the ground in Vieques, Puerto Rico. In 2022, she trained under Teddy Forance at the CLI Conservatory while working as a junior producer and writer at CLI Studios. With the marketing team, she wrote weekly blog posts and kept an up to date content calendar for the WordPress site. She also helped bring an entirely new musical to its feet, acting as assistant director, script supervisor, acting coach, and even lead actor. She currently works with Protect All Children from Trafficking (PACT) as a Social Media Manager and Communications Associate, where she uses her multimedia production experience, and knowledge of working with vulnerable populations to shape and highlight the narrative and work of the organization. She also serves as a Community Actionist at Gibney, Inc., facilitating bilingual educational workshops that use dance to teach children in all five boroughs of NYC about healthy relationships.
