Lightstone Consumer was previously RGT SMART Market Intelligence Limited ("RGTS"). RGTS was a public company that delisted from the Altx at the end of July 2013, after a minority shareholder buy-out by the Lightstone Group.RGTS has mainly two product offerings:1.Provide online data analysis tools, mainly to the motor industry. For new vehicle sales and vehicle specifications2. Provide customer satisfaction services (CSI) through a multichannel customer engagement platform.The company has a staff compliment of 90 people, with offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. On 1 March 2014 the operations were split into two legal entities namely; Lightstone Consumer and Lightstone Auto.Responsibilities as CFO/COO for RGT SMART included:Financial reporting (6 x staff) - Report financial results and operational KPI’s to Exco, board of directors, and main shareholder. - Short and long term financial forecasting and modelling - Corporate governance and legislative compliance - Internal Controls, design, implement and monitor and risk management - Review payroll function and the design and implementation of HR policies and procedures. - Responsible for operational efficiency and leadership including:In-house IT development team (10 x staff)Call centre operation, (18 x Staff)Data analysis team (4 x Staff)Motor data research team (8 x Staff)Administration and back office support (4 x staff)Assist the CEO with strategy development, implementation and monitoring - Identify and implement productivity and process improvements. - Interact with business unit heads to assist with target setting, monitoring and financial impact of new business ideas

IQuad Group was a public company that listed on the Altx of the JSE in 2007. In October 2012 the company was delisted from the JSE after a minority shareholder buy-out by Sasfin Bank.The historical IQuad companies are now part of Sasfin Commercial Solutions.Background on IQuad Group:• The group consists of a holding company and 12 active subsidiaries providing outsourced financial services.• Annual turnover R80-R100 million• Staff compliment, 120-150 salaried staff• Office in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth• Annual profit on a normalized basis of R15 million• Total assets R150 million Responsibilities as Financial Director included: - Financial reporting (5 x staff, including 1x CA (SA) - Corporate governance and legislative compliance - Internal Controls, design, implement and monitor - Internal Audit and Risk management - Group Company Secretary - Budgeting and cash flow management - HR and Payroll (2 x Staff) - Receptionist and PE office management - Strategic: Evaluate new acquisitions from a tax and accounting impact Assist CEO with evaluating the reasons for under performing businesses and designing remedial actions Assists CEO with developing group strategic imperatives and the implementation and monitoring of progress related thereto. Conclude negotiations and agreements for smaller transactions Provide input to the board’s strategic discussions Promote the Group brand and servicesI was approached by the board of RGT Smart to fulfil a combined CFO and COO role based on a reference from former IQuad non-executive directors. The combined COO role appealed to my personal growth objectives.

Guestro Forging & Machining (a division of Dorbyl Limited) was a manufacturing company in the automotive sector. The Forging & Machining division represented more that 30% of total Dorbyl Automotive Ltd turnover and provided employment to more than 700 people. Responsibilities included: - Management of full financial department. - Internal control & risk management : - Weekly wage payroll for +- 650 employees. Including Time and Attendance, Tax compliance and other statutory compliance. - Responsible for IT function for the plant. I was approached by the former CEO of IQuad Group Limited, Trevor Hayter, whom I worked closely with during my time at Comau SA Body Systems, for the position as Financial Director at IQuad.

Comau was involved in the design, manufacture and installation of vehicle assembly lines for motor vehicle manufacturers. During the time I was employed, they completed various international assembly line implementations, including Argentina, Russia and China. Responsibilities included: - Preliminary financial risk assessment of all new RFQs - Chairman of project steering committees and ongoing project cost management and variance analysis. - Foreign currency exposure management for the group. The currency flows were outsourced to PSG Treasury Solutions, now IQuad Treasury Solutions. Financial Reporting: - Preparation of the consolidated project management accounts which formed the basis of the company’s results up to gross margin level. - Coordination and preparation of the consolidation of projects which involve sister companies in foreign countries. - Preparation of annual budgets, revisions to budgets and reporting variances to budget. - Project cost control

PKF Port Elizabeth is a medium size auditing firm based in Port Elizabeth. I completed my 3 years article training with exposure to a wide variety of companies from small to large private and public companies. After completing my articles, I was approached by the firm to continue my employment with them in the capacity of audit manager. During my first year as audit manager, one of the PKF clients, Comau SA Body Systems, approached me with an offer to join them in the capacity as Project Finance Manager.
