The nature of the job remains basicly the same, but we have more and various expertise to share and more capacity to respond to requests from clients.INNOVATIONS:Design of a stainless steel deluge valve assembly for the release of foam concentrate, featuring:- highly reliable performance, little maintenance- provisions for supervision and alarm signalling- trimmings for full functional testing without actual concentrate release- 2 or 3 step manual testing to avoid accidental release- manual release automatically reduced to 1 step in case of emergency- smooth exterior for easy cleaning.(4 clients, 62 systems)Very first diesel driven fire pump sets with a stable output pressure by electronically regulated speed with a certificate in compliance with Dutch regulations.Universal piping network, usable for either high expansion foam or sprinkler to allow quick refurbishing a storage facility.Central bladdertank system with decentral admixing stations and long concentrate pipe lines. 1983: Struck by the analogy between the hydraulic calculation of sprinkler networks and the theoretical analysis of electrical networks. Hydraulic calculations were still done manually at that time, while I was educated to do electrical network analysis by computer. Developed versatile methods for hydraulic calculation of sprinkler networks for several types of computers.INNOVATIONS:Hydraulic calculation program to include velocity pressure without iteration, based on Hazen Williams equation. Lucrative in large deluge systems (aircraft hangars, oil industry) and for highly pressure dependent systems (e.g. foam generators).Hydraulic calculations with non-water fluids with viscosity and specific mass different from water.
