Francesco Orciuoli received the Master's degree (cum laude) in Computer Science from the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences (University of Salerno) on 25/11/1999.Since 02/03/2015 he is Associate Processor (INF/01 SSD) at the University of Salerno. Currently, he is at the Department of "Scienze Aziendali - Management & Innovation Systems" (DISA-MIS),From 30/12/2008 he was Assistant Professor (INF/01 SSD) at the Faculty of Education Sciences and performs his research activities at the “DIEII” Department of Electronic Engineering and Information Engineering - University of Salerno.From September 2006 to December 2008 he was employed as Technical Assistant at the DIIMA – Department of Information Engineering and Applied Mathematics (University of Salerno).From June 2000 to November 2004 he worked as a Research Assistant in "Mathematical Software" at the DIIMA (University of Salerno).From April 1999 to September 2006, he worked as Researcher at CRMPA (Center of Research in Pure and Applied Mathematics). From January 2005 to August 2006 he was Chief Technology Officer at MOMA (an Italian SME).He participated in numerous Research Projects also including: ARISTOTELE and ALICE (EU FP7), TITAN, MODERN, eJRM and EVO-SMART (PON 2007-2013 Research and Competitiveness), Learning & Knowledge (MIUR - Leg. 297/99, FAR), ELeGI (EU FP6), m-Learning (EU FP5) GeCoSan (co-funded by MURST - DM 449/97), DiSiMa (co-funded by MURST) and InTraSys (EU ESPRIT Programme).He is author of almost 120 scientific papers on Computational Intelligence, Granular Computing and Distributed Software Architecture applied to Decision Making, Situation Awareness, Technology Enhanced Learning and Knowledge Management. Currently, his research activities are focused on the definition of techniques, models and methodologies based on Rough Set Theory, Three-Way Decisions, (Temporal) Formal Concept Analysis, Fuzzy Cognitive Maps, Semantic Web and Multi-Agent Systems enabling Decision Support Systems and Intelligent Tutoring Systems.He is member of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Membership and IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society Membership.
