Countdown Hamilton

After Working in Perishables as a department manager, I had excelled to a larger positon of assistant manager working in Long Life which is the largest department in the store and overlooks multiple departments including perishables, liquor and groceries departments. Whilst I was second an assistant manager, I oversaw the liquor department which was my responsibility. During this time we saw sales almost double with a visible outcome of the affect my work displayed in the department.Because Long Life covers more, I entered as a assistant manager in order to up skill and train for potential development as manager. Unfortunately I decided to leave to focus full time on my studies to move on to a new career.

Countdown Hamitlon

In beginning I started in the role of Assistant Manager for the Perishables Department and I have progressed into the role as a Perishables manager.After a year at Countdown Morrinsville I wanted to test my knowledge and experience in a bigger department back in Hamilton city where I live. I decided to transfer to the Countdown Hamilton Supermarket where the role of assistant manager was available. This was a perfect opportunity to test my experience and knowledge in a bigger department with a higher turn over, customer flow, and bigger team.

Countdown Morrinsville

I transferred into the Morrinsville store to be a department manager where I honed on my skills in customer service and management that I had gained from Countdown St James.

Woolworths/Countdown St James

During my time at Countdown St James I assisted with the stocking of the shelves, pricing, planning and merchandising end builds, facing the groceries department and supervising the Sunday night team. Built up of a team of 5 staff members. I helped oversaw the opening of Woolworths St James and later in a 2008 the change of brand to Countdown St James
