I joined Atmoso as an apprentice with very little experience in the industry. After finishing my apprenticeship with Peta I was offered a full time position with the company as a 2nd line engineer.Atmoso are big on promoting from within and when a senior engineer position became available I applied for the role and secured it. In a very short 3 years I had gained an great deal of knowledge around cloud based solutions and our in-house developed Payment Card Industry solution.

After months out of employment I was given the opportunity to take a part time job at a refurbished petrol station/convenience store. By the end of the year I was given the opportunity again to step up responsibilities and become a supervisor. I gained skills in cash handling and operating computer software I had never used before, as with any customer facing job customer service was a key skill and I was able to communicate to a wide variety of people in a polite and professional manner and build rapport with regulars.
