Adult Volunteer - To lead, inspire, motivate and support the Air Cadets to achieve their potential. Activities include; classroom instruction, simulator instruction, adventurous training, sports, drill, fieldcraft, first aid, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Simultaneously enhancing and developing my skills, leadership and gaining qualifications.

My responsibilities included:• The design and implementation of a new and trademarked pilot training route from CPLIR to airline employment, called BestPilot, including groundschool and simulatorprogrammes.• The recruitment and training of ground school teaching team focussing on developinginstructional style and standardising the trainee experience.• Using feedback from students and trainers to continually improve standards and traineeexperience. All graduates employed within 3 months of course completion• Head of an advisory board meeting regularly with senior managers of partner airlines andseeking their input and commitment to our training programme and graduate placement.

My additional responsibilities beyond the role of First Officer included:• Recruited for airline launch including project work for AOC approval of Viking Airlines. Liaison with aircraft leasing companies for conducting acceptance flights and delivering new aircraft. Supporting the crewing, rostering and HOTAC departments until staff were operationally proficient• Leading a project to design, present and implement a fuel conservation policy for theairline. This included working alongside specialist consultants, analysing data, fieldtesting, complying with regulatory requirements, briefing colleagues and presenting tosenior management and stakeholders

My additional responsibilities beyond the role of First Officer included:• Completing Wet Lease ACMI contracts with Nok Air DMK, XL France CDG, as well as adhoc charter work for a variety of European football clubs. • XL Sports, Social and Charity Committee Member
