The role of the Live Brief Training manager was to support and manage a series of creative editing project briefs, delivered through a cloud based storage system, Frame IO, that holds a range of footage and material that are typically used in a media post production project.The programme recruited 20 experienced edit assistants and assistant editors currently working within 20 Post facilities across the UK as staff or freelancers to step up to the role of junior editor through an… Show more The role of the Live Brief Training manager was to support and manage a series of creative editing project briefs, delivered through a cloud based storage system, Frame IO, that holds a range of footage and material that are typically used in a media post production project.The programme recruited 20 experienced edit assistants and assistant editors currently working within 20 Post facilities across the UK as staff or freelancers to step up to the role of junior editor through an intensive 6-month training program of online and work-based training by experts from the industry.The programme offered participants industry-led online training into the complex and fast moving post production pipelines. The training is delivered by working post production professionals and built and expanded technical, creative, professional and personal skills. The work-based learning (WBL) is undertaken within the Post Production facility through a structured programme which runs alongside the online training sessions. This was designed to meet the needs of each participant and the Post Production companies acknowledging the need for flexibility. It acknowledged that every Post Production facility will undergo the training and WBL elements against their own timeframe.
