Fraser has the experience in an OEM Manufacturing environment – magnesium die cast design, engineering and technology. Prior to getting in to the Accounting world at Meridian, Fraser held roles such as Business Development Associate at TD from 1999 – 2007 and then went on to become a Financial Planner with the Bank of Montreal for approximately a year and then went back to TD as a Telephone Banking Specialist for 5 years.Fraser’s experience in the Cost Accounting role includes but is not limited to:Analyzed manufacturing operations to determine costs of business activity such as material and labor cost. Maintained fixed asset continuity schedules for optimal utilization. Prepared costing reports, cost forecasts and compared standard costs to actual productions costs. Prepared month end, quarter end and year end closings. Liaison with internal stakeholders through email, phone & in person meetings. Housekeeping:• Maintain a safe, clean and environmentally sound work area..• Remove machine turnings, stacking finished goods, garbage removal.• Clean-up work areas, wash station down, clean screens and empty trays.3. General Machining:• Operation of secondary equipment.• Assemble, sort and pack of parts.• Part quality inspection, removing any loose flash and burrs.• Carry out any required tooling changes – set-up new drills and replace old drills.• Gauge castings.• Place audit tags on baskets.4. Record keeping: • Count scrap and fill out daily scrap sheets.• Data entry in Plex ERP system.• Other duties as required, including special projects as they arise
