I am a chartered accountant, and have just returned from three years in the UK.Working for NHS Scotland I worked in the response to COVID-19, developing forecasting models for temporary hospitals in relation to different scenarios. As things returned to the new 'normal' I lead the project accounting team, developing business cases and ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organisation. Prior to this I was with the University of Otago as a manager of strategic finance. The role required excellent financial interpretation and communication skills, with a predominantly forward looking focus. During my time I implemented and managed the new resource allocation model following a major restructure.I also worked in a private practice accounting firm where I gained my qualification.Outside of work I enjoy spending time in the outdoors or playing sports such as football and futsal.
