About Fraser Kirby
I am a recent graduate student from Carleton University where I studied to earn my Master of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. I focused on emission reduction strategies and proactive monitoring solutions to improve current pollution estimations models of emissions in the Canadian Oil and Gas industry. The overarching goal of this research was to compare insight from current emission estimates and work towards realistic areas of improvement for sustainable development of underground oil repositories moving forward. Prior to grad school, I graduated with high distinction from Carleton University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2020.I am interested in pursuing design or technical work as well as positions involving management and Teamwork of mechanical engineering projects/initiatives. In my free time, I enjoy reading, exploring the outdoors, and discovering new places. The goal for my future career is to pursue opportunities that utilize and develop my skills in the field of engineering and design. I am always open to new and exciting opportunities that will allow me to continue to grow as an engineer and I look forward to making a positive impact within my community!I have had 6-years of combined working experience in research and development projects relating to a variety of industries. I have a long-term interest in sustainable development and utilization of high-production energy resources, and I am also interested in mechanical design of light-weight high-performance and process specific components.
