I have grown up and lived in Newport RI becoming a lifelong sailor and racer. Almost all of my life has been devoted to sailing and the work around it. I saw myself succeed at the sport in college being nominated for first-team all-American by my coach Skip Whyte. School and classes fell by the wayside and no longer became my priority, which saw me leave school in 2017. I joined a sailing race team (Young American Sailing Academy) whose goal was to make a competitive offshore team for the United States to compete around the world. The team lost a significant donor that pushed me to work for a private individual's inshore race team. I moved up to managing the 4 boat team and its assets learning a lot about how to handle myself in a professional environment as well as a large multifaceted program with a world championship standard. The team won 3rd at the Etchells Worlds in 2019 during my time in that position. During this time I was also the communications director and part of the leadership for the United States Etchells Youth Program. I learned very quickly how to manage my time between these two jobs while also doing quality work for both. I left these in the summer of 2020 to be a training partner for a friend's Olympic Campaign and pursue professional sailing options. After COVID hit and the sport of sailing became very sparse I returned to school to finish my degree in Marine Affairs, the subject I know best, in the spring of '21. I became fascinated with the courses and materials on offshore wind and renewable energies. My grades have been excellent since my return to school and I approached it with much more maturity and significance as I saw a path to a career that I would enjoy.
