As part of the floor staff my role involved helping customers to find the correct plants for their garden dependent upon the conditions of the garden, watering the plants, facing up any display units and general DIY and repairs that were needed. I was also required to deliver orders to peoples homes around the area and from time to time drive between centres to drop off and pick up stock from each centre.

As a nursery assistant it was my role to ensure the vast amount of plants were watered, maintained and labelled correctly prior to them being sent to stores. I had to fulfil large orders for the big named garden centres across the UK. Towards the end of the role I was trained to use the machinery required to pot the plants at the beginning of the production line. This meant planting over 1000 plants per day.
