I attended work experience in London at a money brokerage firm. It was very interesting and extended my horizons on the type of business that happens in the real world. I was given introductions to different desks such as the emerging markets, sterling, euro, and credit default swaps desks. I attended this for a couple of days and really enjoyed the environment and work. I learned skills of communication and negotiation in high-pressure and fast-paced situations. I also learned about the different desks which allowed me to have a deeper view of what the firm does on a day to day basis. I have also taken part in Ardingly’s 2023 Sustainable Take a Risk Competition (Shark Tank Dragon's Den)Planned, researched, organized, and pitched idea to potential investors creating a business plan and service based on the brief to bring a sustainable product to market. My team and I went on to win the competition which was a great achievement for me.
