Customer Database AdministratorXerox 1989 - 1991Rochester, New York AreaThis was a contract job for Xerox in which a team of 9 had to invent the process for a job that had not been done before -- cleaning records to comply with Zip+4 (Go ahead, ask me about how that works!) and to review company relationships to make sure customers got the right discounts. I learned a great deal about breaking down procedures involving messy and idiosyncratic data until the patterns become clear. This turns out to be something I've used in almost every setting I've ever worked in ... seeing the forest for the trees ... and then being able to use the pattern to make things easier for me ... and for my team or my customers.
