I have developed a thorough working knowledge of the private rental sector, am familiar with the statutory responsibilities that landlords have, the rights of tenants, as well as more specialist areas of legislation such as Registered Rents and Energy Efficiency. Since April I have kept the estate running smoothly on a day to day basis, effectively dealt with difficult issues when required, as well as lead on a new project of upgrades focused on our longest standing tenants. -

During a crucial time when the NHS was delivering a vaccine rollout and recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic, I worked in their London office as a Freedom of Information (FOI) case officer. In this role I was responsible for gathering and analysing a large volume of information including complex data, in order to respond to FOI requests and Parliamentary questions. I was required to liaise with subject matter experts within the NHS itself, as well as with external organisations such as Department for Health and Social Care. This required excellent oral and written communication skills to gather all of the data I needed, and to advise all concerned about how the FOI process works. I used a wide range of software to present this data in an accessible format and to draft a response to the applicant, and I have developed a good working knowledge of the FOI Act’s many exemptions. As a result, I completed thousands of cases to a high standard and within the Act’s statutory deadline. Key Achievements: - Completed the Freedom of Information Act Practitioner Certificate in October 2022- Worked on a number of high profile cases such as hospital use of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, and the release of statistics related to the COVID-19 pandemic - Consistently met or exceeded my team’s delivery targets. -
