Successfully led the overall operational demerger of GSK & Haleon; the largest corporate demerger in recent European stock market history with responsibility for the overall design, implementation and operational separation budget as well as leading a combined cross-functional team ~ 700 FTEs. Achieved significant annual savings by leading two R&D transformations, one focusing on revamping the research engine and the other focusing on streamlining & offshoring development/medical affairs and the doubling of R&D footprint within Poland and India. Established project management as an accredited function with mandated training leading to majority of members with PMI certification within 2yrs. Established an integrated resource management framework to track and forecast project resources, leading to a prioritisation of resources towards the core assets. Improved accuracy of project plans by through a thorough peer review of project plans. Completed the integration of TESARO Inc ($5.1b acquisition) within 1yr to allow GSK to maximise the potential of Zejula and Jemperli, rebuilding the GSK Oncology portfolio.

Led the GSK Japan clinical development function (~100 FTEs) in becoming more integrated into the central GSK organisation, embracing pipeline prioritisation, people development and efficient project execution. This ensured that Japan regulatory submissions were able to be simultaneously submitted alongside the US and EU regulatory filings. Led a cross-functional team to ensure the Japan Phase II/III programme for Duvrog (daprodustat) remained on track to allow the asset to be licensed to Kyowa Kirin in 2018 and launched in Japan by 2020.

Drove GSK pipeline prioritisation and resource allocation which led to 6 NMEs being launched in 12 months during 2012-13 (Breo, Mekinist, Tafinlar, Tivicay, Anoro, Tanzeum). Led the divestment of the GSK Oncology commercial and late-stage pipeline to Novartis ($16b transaction), and centrally co-ordinated consumer healthcare (£6b transaction) and vaccines ($5b transaction) integrations from Novartis to deliver significant annual synergies.
