Started Wombat Web Design with fellow student Jason Savage while still studying for my Foundation Degree. I am responsible for the administration and marketing of the business, along with the copy and search engine marketing for the website we create.

I spent a number of years running The Beeches Residential Home one of Glasgow premier residential homes. I was responsible for all the administration working closely with the nurse manager who was responsible for all client care. We took the decision to close the home in December 2003 when it became clear that due to the physical limitations of the building we would shortly not be able to comply with the changing legislation.After the sale of the residential home I took time out to decide in which direction I wanted to take the company. During this period the company purchased a vacation home in Florida and I identified a potential business opportunity, advertising vacation homes on the internet. I have spent the last few years creating and administering the website www.traveling2florida.com.

I worked in all aspects of television production during this time. As production manager my responsibility was to ensure the smooth running of the production, organising the film crews, arranging filming locations and obtaining the necessary permission to film, etc. As sound recordist it was my job to obtain broadcast quality sound often in the most inhospitable circumstances. This often meant keeping track of several microphones in a charged and stressful situation. Some of the companies for which I worked include, The BBC, Border Television, Kellogg’s, Mercedes Benz, Vision Aid etc.
