I delivered expert-level oversight to day-to-day MEP’s private office’s operations, including control of parliamentary assistance, general expenditure, and additional travel allowance. I used to reduce and control travel and medical expenses of MEP’s by enforcing end-to-end compliance controls of statute for members and other internal parliamentary procedures. I collaborated with lobby groups and parliamentary secretariat and managed MEP’s physical and electronic correspondence. I discussed important political issues and potential votes with policy advisors as well as advised MEP on voting and decisions in Plenary and in Committee. During my tenure, I proved myself successful in: Ensuring on-time payment to MEP by negotiating complex travel reimbursement issues. Planning and executing the successful fact-finding mission to the United States.

I oversaw, managed, and maintained correspondence, staffing, protocol, and budgets while providing robust support to Members’ Private Office. I used to prepare and draft voting lists, speeches, and amendments for Members in Committee and Plenary while delivering support to Policy Staff. I engaged with other MEPs, parliamentary services, and pressure groups, discussed ongoing issues, and created effective action plans. Some of my notable accomplishments from the tenure are: Conducted deep-dive research and authored an informational pamphlet on EU Transport policy and its impact in the UK. Successfully managed end of contract procedures for local assistants (assistants employed in the UK during the rapidly changing circumstances of Brexit).

I developed written speeches, briefings, and other communications for executives as well as provide assistance in speech delivery preparations. I collaborated with the MEP and advisors on the Transport and Tourism Committee. I passed an amendment in committee against strong opposition while liaising with the advisor. I delivered exceptional support to Policy Advisors by informing on various issues involved in policy making.
