Manage the planning process relating to appointment activities to ensure effective delivery of marking operations within agreed timescales and to quality.Develop the Marker Capacity Model for each test cycle, using key inputs to calculate the required marker resource to ensure that all pupil scripts for the cycle are marked to time and quality.Develop and maintain the Marker Allocation Tool to ensure markers can be allocated to marking teams based on the agreed hierarchy and to the Marker Capacity Model requirements.Develop and agree with the customer, the Marker Recruitment and Retention strategy and the Marker Communication Strategy for each test cycle to ensure successful delivery of marking operations.Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and control of processes and procedures across a range of operational functions to deliver efficient and effective service and mitigate operational, financial and reputational risk.Establish and develop relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts and engage with key stakeholders to shape effective service delivery.

Responsible for the development of robust, tested and cost effective solutions for new business opportunities. Liaise with other areas of the organisation to collate proposed delivery models. Work with our bid team to capture proposed delivery solutions and develop bid content, this includes identifying key bid differentiators and win themes.Investigate new products and services that we can offer to clients and new ways of working to realise operational efficiencies, utilising new technologies or industry adopted best practice.

Responsible for the operational delivery of four commercial contracts within my business team. Had line management responsibility for two direct reports and a wider team of 18 staff at different grades.Key duties were budget and resource management, corporate governance including the on-going certification our processes to ISO 9001 and 27001 standards and management of the business improvement projects. During my time in the role I managed the implementation of a number of service improvements and an entirely new contract.

I worked on a number of strategic IT improvement projects with the responsibility for the elicitation and documentation of business requirements from internal customers. The development of Functional Specification's in discussion with internal customers to allow the design and development of new IT systems or changes to legacy systems. Responsible for the co-ordination of functional and user acceptance testing including the documentation of test scripts and system acceptance criteria.

Responsible for the implementation and then the day to day running of a new business stream within the wider business area. This included the project management of implementation activity to timescale and budget. Stakeholder engagement with existing service users and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth transition from the incumbent service provider to SQA. The recruitment and training of an entirely new team to undertake the day to day operational activity and the on-going management of this activity.During my time managing the contract I managed the pilot and implementation of a key service change with the development of an e-Assessment platform. I also managed a major review of the scheme based on a request from the client and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Responsible for a portfolio of assessments and the development of question papers from origination to print. This portfolio included a number of overseas variant papers which required me to co-ordinate and attend a number of overseas assessment setting and vetting meetings.Responsible for the co-ordination of the marking teams for each assessment event, ensuring enough suitable markers were appointed and trained and that the relevant support materials were available for the marking teams.
