I am a passionate life long learner with interests in life sciences, public health, outdoor sports, and working with others. I am the kind of person who looks at problems like a puzzle - there is almost always a piece that fits just right! The beautiful and challenging part of puzzle-problem-solving is that the solution may be right under your nose (or upside down!) and you must first change your perspective in order to find the right piece. Making the best out of every situation is my goal each day - I love to look for positive moments or reasons to laugh! Whether it be resolving a problem in the lab, surviving a storm in the wilderness while on a rock climbing trip, or even performing emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), I embrace challenges as learning experiences and have been able to apply the communication, leadership, and team-building skills gained in many different areas of my life.
