I am a motivated and passionate worker who has honed their skills through years of seeking personal development opportunities and running their own small business alongside working full time.I have spent the last 8 years working for East Sussex County Council, starting as a Customer Service Apprentice, moving to Library Assistant, and working my way up to Assistant Library Manager during the pandemic. I am very proud of the progression I made during a difficult time. I am currently working in an operational role and am seeking opportunities to join a team that allows me to exercise my natural creativity, as that is where I thrive. For the last 10 years I have run a small business through Etsy, promoting my wares on social media and creating stock by hand. My strengths are my knowledge of how to use social media trends for promotion (having produced East Sussex Library and Information Service's most viewed Instagram reel and featured in ESCC's recruitment campaign) and my emotional intelligence. As a compassionate individual, I have always actively sought out opportunities to help colleagues. In my role in East Sussex County Council I have become a Mental Health First Aider and view mental wellbeing as a priority. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I have seen and experienced discrimination and always aim to challenge these views.
