Frazer is a Senior Landscape Architect, and Urban Designer at Boffa Miskell, Hamilton. Frazer has over 16 years' experience across a variety of urban environments in New Zealand, China, the Middle East and United Kingdom. Frazer recently completed an Executive MSc in Cities at the London School of Economics. Frazer's involvement with this programme will further assist in his ability to work through and respond to the complex urban challenges associated with growth and change. Through this study Frazer has investigated the themes of urban analytics and the measuring the urban environment, cities and poverty, housing and growth (including green growth and compact cities), climate change, urban transport and mobility, finance and economic models, design, governance and the forms of leadership, strategies and tactics required to deliver change at scale. Frazer’s expertise covers a wide spectrum of urban design and landscape architecture disciplines. His project experience extends from providing high level urban design and landscape frameworks to provide strategic input into the design of major infrastructure projects such as the Mackays to Peka Peka Expressway (M2PP), Get Wellington Moving and Wellington Multi-user Ferry Terminal. His experience also includes, stadium, school and university campus design, master planning and town centre design and public realm revitalisation projects. From 2013-2016 Frazer led the urban and landscape design on M2PP, his commitment to the project won Frazer the M2PP individual of the year award. Frazer was nominated for his navigation of highly sensitive relationships, ‘where it must have appeared at times there could be no win/win outcome’. Frazer's persistence, commitment, resilience, integrity and insight delivered relationships that were collaborative and delivered a positive outcome for the project and community. Frazer’s experience working in large interdisciplinary design teams means he understands what it takes to work closely alongside a wide variety of professionals and consultancies, to achieve great results for the client, project and end user Frazer brings to each project an open and inquiring mind, clear strategic design thinking and robust and considered analysis of issues and opportunities. In addition to his design expertise Frazer has strong written communication and presentation skills that have enabled him to navigate and direct each project and deliver the desired outcomes.
