Qasara was a privately funded and employee-owned start-up company specialising in the development of technology targeting the 3GPP LTE wireless communications standard.Starting from a blank sheet of paper, in less than two years a small team, led by my colleague Michael Barkway, created a fully functioning LTE protocol stack and physical layer. The company received multiple offers for the technology and the company and Qasara was eventually sold in February 2010, by means of an asset sale and employee transfer for £'Ms to a global smartphone manufacturer.

With a number of design-wins secured, I managed the sale of Adventiq to Adder - a market leader in connectivity solutions, customer of, and investor in Adventiq.

A fabless semiconductor business founded from a core team of AT&T Labs engineers. We identified a market opportunity for baseboard management controllers on-chip. Server-farm management in a custom ASIC. Founded through a partnership with RealVNC limited, Adventiq delivered first silicon in just over twelve months.Adventiq captured several design wins in our first two years, and our first- and second- generation products are still in market almost a decade later.As CTO this was roll-your-sleeves-up engineering, business development, operations, manufacturing, quality, post-sales support, and more. I took responsibility for growing the engineering team, and establishing front-line support as well as helping to shape and direct the technology roadmap.
