About Fred Barton
I've had a great career of risk-taking, and trusting in God's leadership in my life! I've refused to be once-and-for-all "stuck" in some job category for my whole life, when not feeling right about it! My resume shows, that I spent 7 years in the US Army Chaplain's Corp! When I got out of the military, I went back to finish up my undergraduate college studies, and took my BBA / Concentration in Business Data Systems, under the old GI Bill, and went straight to work in 1980, as a Computer Programmer, for Shell Oil Company! After a few years there, I felt the spiritual call to pastoral ministry, I resigned, and I went into SWBTS (seminary) for three years of training. We moved to Twin Falls, Idaho to take our first church, in January of 1988. Since then, we've pastored several churches, and I've worked various odd jobs (when necessary). I'm now, feeling very open, to numerous possibilities, as I'm actively pursuing my next career challenge here in Santa Barbara, California! I believe that my education and experience could benefit any perspective employer, as the Lord leads the way!
