My special interest is to make spaces that enable people to develop meaningful relationships. I have applied this passion to many types of buildings and external spaces. This includes making heritage buildings into multipurpose venues for the whole life of a community, as well as building new complexes and enlarging existing facilities.I have also designed schools, university buildings (including Oxford Colleges), multi-residential, aged care, student housing and community buildings. I believe that good architecture will enhance any core business and improve life for those who use our buildings. It must also improve the visual environment in which it sits and encourage a spirit of community for those who will ultimately live, work or play in the precincts we create. Sustainability is fundamental to all we do.My book, "Making Property Serve Mission - Rethinking the Church's Buildings for the 21st Century", is an acclaimed guidebook for church leaders. An accompanying series of on-screen presentations is also freely available. My interests include investigating beneficial development opportunities to create valuable property. Having successfully completed the Passivhaus Designers course I have an enhanced understanding of fully sustainable architecture and am keen to apply it for the benefit of clients.
