Specialty Pharmacy:One of seven IT professionals, working in the Fuse "innovation" divison of Cardinal Health, responsible for automating, enhancing, and commercializing an existing client facing Specialty Pharmacy process. The process provides drug usage information and other relevant metrics via data extract and reports. The project merged several technologies including SQL Server, redshift, python, and tableau. My specific duties included 1) creating a python programs to automate an extract process validate the data sync process between the source SQL Server and destination redshift instance and 3) to refactor existing SQL Server stored procedures to work against a redshift instance.

Columbus, Ohio Area

One of four ETL developers responsible for maintaining and enhancing a data warehouse for a major state organization. Primary responsibility was to reverse engineer an internal CRM application and then design and implement an ETL solution to source data from the application into the warehouse.

As an independent consultant, my primary duties include being the technical lead on a project to normalize and stage inbound data stored in heterogeneous formats for eventual load into two core legacy operational systems. The data sources contain the same types of information but come from different external sources ergo vastly different data formats and different load requirements. The major requirements included limiting the number of SSIS packages to one regardless of the file formats presented across all clients, minimizing failure events that can invalidate a batch, maximizing throughput by allowing for parallel processing, minimizing the time required to onboard a new client from months to less than a week

Primary duties were to manage and be the technical lead for a BI team, of up to 11 technical solution providers, with an annual operating budget of up to $2M. As the technical lead, I was the senior SQL developer responsible for the database design and implementing the more complex ETL routines. This includes writing stored procedures, views, functions, error handling and logging and performance tuning using SSIS and T-SQL. As a manager, I was responsible for overseeing the complete development lifecycle for all project and support work. This includes working directly with upper management both in and outside of IT, making presentations, providing status on projects, establishing annual budgets, managing project timelines/resources/budget, interfacing with software vendors and/or staffing firms, invoice processing, mitigating production issues and performing employee reviews
