With a target and a customer base go and visit customers, understand their needs and translate this into software solutions. Upgrades, implementations, new modules, roll-outs, beat and be beaten, negotiate, win and sometimes loose. Great times!

Interesting times as we needed to replace old systems by a more efficient one....I was the Logistics Manager at the time and was responsible for Planning, Purchasing and Warehousing. I was young, enthusiastic and wanted to get results (and still want results!)So..we introduced ERP, QAD's ERP solution and were able to book amazing results:- Reduced inventory finished goods with >20%- Reduced sub-assembly's with >50%- Reduced purchasing items >65%- Reduced customer lead times- Reduced manual purchasing >80% by automating the purchasing process So purchasing got more time to close annual contracts with our suppliers, planning got more time because MRP did a great deal of their manual work and warehousing all of a sudden had empty spaced in their warehouse due to to reduced inventory. Many years later, 'my' departments have not grown. Many of the people I know are still working at Stertil. The company has grown in the meantime from a 40M€ to > 100M€, with the same # of fte's in 'my' departments.
