As part of UKII, I was part of the task-force that launched the brand with the UKII Innovation Report, sponsored by Verizon Business, on the 30th April 2024. I've learnt an incredible amount about the breadth and diversity of the innovation industry in the UK.I have represented UKII both as an exhibitor and a guest at industry networking events and seek to spread the word and get people involved with our services.I extended my knowledge of Google's web-based editing suite by consolidating large amounts of data and information into spreadsheets to make it easy to understand for colleagues and keep track of companies' web profiles on the report's website.I most enjoyed being able to produce the auditory sting for the UKII brand. Using my experience of creating audio for visuals at university, I crafted audio to both compliment and emphasise visuals to create a convincing and memorable asset which will be used to represent the brand in the future.

While studying for my degree, I worked in my university's equipment loan department, called the 'Asset Store.' The job provided both a technician and customer service role, and is how I found my love for the latter. The store loaned out cameras, microphones, and many other bits of film and stage equipment including lighting, PA back-line systems, tripods, and tracking dollies. I could confidently run the store on my own, processing bookings made by students and staff, and providing customer service including coming up with solutions for PA systems or film shoot scenarios.A main part of my job was processing orders using the software SiSo. I spent a lot of my job streamlining the software to make it easier for customers to find and book the right equipment for their projects. It required me to frequently update information on the website about stock amounts and technical information about the equipment. This was especially important when adding new equipment, as information like serial numbers, replacement costs, and kit inventories needed to be logged on the system.Cameras I worked with include:- Canon EOS C100 cinema camera- Canon EOS 100/550/600/700D photography cameras- Sony A7iii mirrorless DSLR.Microphones I worked with:- AKG C214/314/414 studio vocal condenser microphones- Rode NTG1/3/4 shotgun and boom microphones- Shure SM57/58 stage dynamic microphones.
