I’ve been active in education leadership and reform efforts at the state and national levels, including the serving on the planning charter school committee for both Brashier Middle College and Greer Middle College, severed on the Executive Board of Directors for the Middle College National Consortium, completed the Coalition of Essential Schools Annenberg Principals Institute at Brown University and the Principals’ Center at Harvard University. I am an experienced educator with a proven track record of success in guiding traditional schools, charter schools, early college high schools and district office leadership.Legacy is fulfilling the mission to provide quality educational experiences for underserved students to attend and finish college. Legacy has achieved national prominence in cognitive development and wellness of students, significantly improved academic achievement, established teacher career advancement opportunities and performance payouts, and has more than doubled student enrollments that are now approaching 1400 scholars to become the largest Title I school in the state. Also, the graduation rate in the West Greenville community has improved to 93% compared to 54% prior to Legacy opening. 100% of our graduates have been accepted to college and many have earned transferable college credits while in high school. Legacy Early College provides many unique opportunities for first in family scholars to prepare and attend college.
