Fred received his M.Div. degree in 1970 and his M.S. degree in counseling in 1973. After pastoring a church for several years, he began his public service career by working as a counselor in a county-funded addictive diseases program in Santa Rosa, California. In the late 70s, Fred moved to the Atlanta area, where his brothers and sisters had settled. He has worked with the Department of Family and Children’s Services, Corrections, McIntosh Trail MH/MR/SA and is now the Chief Operating Officer for Advantage Behavioral Health Systems. Over the course of his service within a Community Service Board he has been committed to the goal of building and sustaining services in the community so that people served can live with independence and dignity.
