Responsible for creating, implementing and managing a communications strategy both internally and externally that improves business results through employee engagement and positively impacts the image, reputation, and profitability of the US Beef and Arby's and Taco Bueno brands. This will include writing/editing major speeches; collaborating with HR to create an effective crisis communications plan that protects the image of the brands; and ensure information is disseminated in a manner that projects and promotes internal enthusiasm for the culture of the company and brand.

Strategic Marketing Management

Responsible for corporate communications plans for major corporate initiatives to reach all internal and external audiences in a timely and relevant fashion; Scripted internal email communications, company meeting and convention speeches, and published articles on behalf of President & CEO; spokesman for the company to media, including crisi communications impacting industry and employees.

Responsibilities included the advertising for the Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental brands, their Express Programs, Yellow Pages and all Company meetings. Managed a total advertising budget exceeding $20 million; Executive produced a Worldwide Convention for the brands for 800+ attendees, with a budget exceeding $1 million.

Secured new marketing staff for company when Dollar moved corporate headquarters from Los Angeles to Tulsa in 1994. Reported directly to President and CEO, responsible for all components of the national marketing for the brand. Coordinated and led search for new marketing agency; managed a $26 million budget; solicited and retained key partnerships in the airline and automotive industry.

Full service $25 million marketing, advertising, and PR agency. Directed agency to most profitable year in its history in 1991, and selected that year as one of the Southwest's Top Ten Agencies. During 20 year career at agency, was responsible for the agency's largest accounts, including Thrifty Car Rental, Oklahoma Natural Gas, Bank of Oklahoma, Mazzio's Restaurants, and Homeland Grocery Stores. Named Account Executive of the Year in 1988 by American Women in Radio and Television.
