Computational Research Scientist with a strong background in Density Functional Theory, phase field modeling, and machine learning. While working toward my Ph.D in Physics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute I have published on properties of nitrides and ferroelectrics such as light-matter interactions, energy and charge transport, electronic polarization. Using phase field modeling software which I developed, I connect atomic scale first principles predictions to micron scale simulations of bulk materials.Throughout my various research projects I have developed strong group work and collaboration skills facilitating consistent and efficient work-flow through the sharing and communication of issues and results.My specialties include computer programming in Python and C++, Density Functional Theory, Phase Field simulation, data analysis, and scientific writing.
