I have over forty years of experience in Headache Medicine as a clinician, researcher, educator, and advocate for patients, families, and employers. Recognized as KOL by industry and colleagues. Co-authored multiple evidence-based guidelines and co-authored standards of care. Developed neurology subspecialty programs in two academic institutions, creating patient care programs that led to the programs being the single most common reasons sought care in their Neurology services and producing a significant new income stream for the hospitals. Created a ground-up CRO in a private practice clinical setting that led to the study being completed and the study report drafted months ahead of contract. Delivered compassionate, comprehensive, and quality-of-life restoring care to patients who had not benefited from the care of others and who were distraught by facing lives of chronic illness impeding their relationships, interests, and work and, all the while using the best evidence-based medicine to create effective treatment strategies that others did not perceive and doing so with a significant reduction in healthcare utilization dollars.
