Significant supply chain consulting contributions at Staples from 2002 to 2010. Led 3 major supply chain transformation engagements (co-led with client partner) where Process Design was impacting 100 plus associates directly, 1000s at the DCs and 10,000s at the stores. Projects spanned the retail, direct and international business units. Majority of this effort was while a Partner at Accenture. Provided independent consulting services directly to Staples from 2009 until 2011. Consulting projects were direct engagements to the C-Level / SVP for all the years at Staples.

Practice provides comprehensive supply chain expertise in the areas of inventory management, low cost country sourcing, distribution, transportation, enterprise wide collaboration, and supply chain strategy. Retail Supply Chain Lead.• Led numerous high performance teams responsible for all aspects of supply chain transformation from strategy development to full scale implementation. Focus has been on operational implementation and client engagements that typically range 24-36 months and are extremely operational intensive. • Extensive multi-year transformational programs with the big box retailers in drug, office, home, mass and department categories. Numerous projects in the CPG, Drug and Technology companies.• Experience includes executing transformation programs where value creation is measured well in excess of $300 million and benefits continue post consulting. • Co-led selling and delivery efforts on numerous client engagements that exceeded $10 million in fees in supply chain engagements. • Personally lead Staples Retail “Summit” Supply Chain Program which was a multi-year supply chain transformation that moved Staples from a set of functionally focused operating departments to a unified cross-functional organization. Publicly released “Summit” achievements were $300 million inventory savings, 3% better in-stock, 1% comp performance (same store sales) and 10% enhancement of the RONA (major C-Level bonus metric). Transformation program addressed inventory management, store operations, DC operations, international sourcing, supplier compliance and Supplier-DC-Store flow paths.
