As the founder and president of the Washington, DC-based Hill Group, I have spent the last 20 years immersed in supporting public and private clients to improve health outcomes for some of our country's most vulnerable populations. After 9 years as a minority business owner in the 8(a) program, I successfully transitioned the Hill Group into a competitive contracting environment with contracts in multiple agencies. My company supports clients and partners in areas such as technical assistance and training, grants management, conference and event management, and creative services. In addition to my role at the Hill Group, I have contributed to my local DC community as well as my Chickasaw community in the following ways:- Serving as Chair of DC Board of Zoning and Adjustment (BZA).- Serving as Advisory Board Member for birdSEED- Washington Improv Theater's Board of Directors- Holding membership/leadership positions in the following organizations: Leadership of Greater Washington (since 2015), the Entrepreneurs Organization (DC Chapter), Federal City Council Member. - Developing an office building in the downtown Business Improvement District (BID) and an apartment building in the H Street Corridor in Washington DC.- Serving on the board of Computercraft, a biomedical and human health research firm, based in DC.- Contributing 40+ educational scholarships to the Chickasaw Foundation Scholarship Program. Skills & Capabilities: more than 20 years of experience in corporate governance and entrepreneurship initiatives; overseen corporate diversification, growth, and sustainability; led strategic contract initiatives supporting the mission of numerous federal government clients; successfully implemented a variety of projects in the areas of health, information technology, and communications; studied the Chinese Language at Beijing University in China.
