Hello!I am Fred, and I am currently in my 2nd Year studying BA Design at Loughborough University.I am particularly interested in Service and Systems design, using logic and innovative thinking to power my designs. I am hoping to find a placement opportunity in this field for 2025/26 for my year in industry as part of my university course.During my studies I have had the opportunity to practise a range of design disciplines, gaining a greater understanding and appreciation for each of these, alongside furthering my skills in programmes such as CAD, Key Shot, Illustrator and photoshop, all whilst practising a wide range of industry used methodology which I actively apply to enhance my projects. In my design work I enjoy team-working and find taking in the range of perspectives and ideas which people have to offer a fascinating, and for me imperative, part of the design process to produce solutions which work for everyone.I have recently taken up a role as EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity) officer at the School of Design and Creative Arts at Loughborough University, as I am passionate about ensuring everyone is equally represented and receive the same opportunities regardless of any other factors.This is a cause which I have held close to my heart through my time at school also, working as the SEN prefect, giving assemblies at schools in the local area to raise awareness amongst young people to help the next generation of SEN students feel understood and welcomed.Outside of my studies I work at McDonald's as a Crew Trainer, progressing my leadership and communication skills, whilst enjoying both getting to know and working with people in my community.I hope we can connect, and please get in touch if I could align with your work or business interests!
